Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Experience working with students who have significant cognitive and physical disabilities.
  • Skilled in supporting students with toileting needs and those who are non-verbal or on the autism spectrum.
  • Preferred: Background in specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Comfortable managing K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade substantially separate classrooms.
  • Willingness to be onsite full-time.
  • Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs).
  • Deliver instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs.
  • Provide behavior and communication support.
  • Collaborate with specialists and paraprofessionals.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and progress-focused classroom.
