Desired Qualifications:

  • Special Education Teacher certification (license for MA or eligibility required)
  • Experience with substantial cognitive and physical disabilities (K-5th grade preferred)
  • Knowledge of specially designed instruction
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Ability to assist with toileting and hygiene needs
  • Comfortable supporting both verbal and non-verbal students on the spectrum
  • Collaborative, flexible, and dedicated to student-centered learning
  • Onsite availability; travel candidates welcome

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with significant needs
  • Employ evidence-based instructional strategies, including ABA when appropriate
  • Integrate closely with RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) and multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Provide personal care support as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for all students
