This full-time position serves grades 3rd-4th with a manageable caseload of just five students, offering the chance to make a focused impact throughout the entire school year. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with your schedule running weekdays from 8:40AM to 3:25PM. The assignment begins August 26, 2026, and concludes June 3, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure and certification in Illinois.
- Prior school-based experience in a similar setting.
- A passion for nurturing student growth and adapting instruction to individual needs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals in a supportive classroom environment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for a group of five students in grades 3rd-4th.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement student-centered plans.
- Track academic and social progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings.
