At the elementary level, you will support a self-contained program specifically tailored for students with Autism and functional communication needs. Structure, consistency, and individualized instruction play a key role in helping these students achieve daily and long-term goals. At the middle school, you’ll collaborate as a co-teacher in a supported education setting, nurturing academic progress within an inclusive classroom. Both positions offer a manageable caseload, ensuring you have the time and resources to focus on quality engagement and instruction.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching or supporting students with Autism or functional communication needs is highly valued
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse classroom settings
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with general education teachers, specialists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment in both self-contained and inclusive settings
• Collaborate with teaching teams to ensure holistic support for every student
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings

This is a full-time contract position with a caseload of up to 13 students, offering the chance to focus on relationship-building and individualized success.
