Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience teaching special education in elementary school settings preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons to K-3rd grade students, adapting materials and approaches to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess student progress and document outcomes to ensure compliance with educational standards and legal requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to promote student inclusion and success
• Interface with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student growth and discussing strategies for support at home and in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable, targeted goals
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and encouraging classroom environment
