Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education certification
- Demonstrated coursework or credits in Math; alternatively, credentials as a Teacher of the Handicapped with required Math credits
- Experience or drive to instruct students with diverse learning needs in Math
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
- Dedication to adapting lessons for multiple learning styles and abilities
- Commitment to professional collaboration with support staff and classroom teachers
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group Math instruction to students who require special education services
- Design, adapt, and implement engaging lessons that support each student’s IEP goals
- Monitor and assess student progress, modifying instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of IEP compliance, progress monitoring, and communication with families
- Collaborate with other educators, case managers, and related service providers to foster seamless educational experiences
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
