Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Teaching License, including Students with Disabilities endorsement
• Prior experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of special education principles, IEPs, and behavior management strategies
• Ability to collaborate positively with colleagues, families, and related service providers
• Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to student-centered instruction in an elementary setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages communication, independence, and skill acquisition
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and support staff to deliver an inclusive educational experience
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies specialized for students with autism
• Track and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to support growth
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in autism education
