What we’re looking for:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (current and in good standing)
  • Experience or licensure in working with grades 2nd through 6th is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with staff, families, and students
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials for diverse learners

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans for special education students
  • Conduct ongoing assessment and documentation of student progress toward IEP goals
  • Modify and adapt curriculum to meet the academic needs of each learner
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment focused on student empowerment
