What we’re looking for:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (current and in good standing)
- Experience or licensure in working with grades 2nd through 6th is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with staff, families, and students
- Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials for diverse learners
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans for special education students
- Conduct ongoing assessment and documentation of student progress toward IEP goals
- Modify and adapt curriculum to meet the academic needs of each learner
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment focused on student empowerment
