Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility required
- Prior experience managing high school caseloads is preferred
- Proficiency in case management, IEP development, and implementation
- Strong skills in providing specially designed instruction and conducting academic evaluations
- Experience with data collection and monitoring student progress
- Effective communication abilities for partnering with families and collaborating with fellow educators
- Preferred: Experience in behavior management and transition planning for post-secondary readiness
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee general special education case management for assigned students
- Develop, write, and manage IEPs to ensure compliance and individualized support
- Deliver specially designed instruction in alignment with students’ learning goals
- Conduct academic evaluations to assess and inform instructional practices
- Systematically collect data and monitor student progress for ongoing improvement
- Collaborate daily with teachers and district staff to support student achievement
- Communicate consistently with families, fostering strong school-home partnerships
This role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with work hours from 7:10 AM to 2:30 PM, based on a structured block schedule. The position provides the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a caring academic community, working closely with both staff and students.
