Special Education Teacher - Plano, Texas

Seeking an experienced Special Education professional to support students in a FASE (Life Skills) classroom setting. This rewarding role focuses on providing individualized instruction and guidance to elementary-grade students, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met in a supportive educational environment. The assignment is onsite and spans from now through mid-December, offering a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher Certification with an endorsement in one of the following: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (endorsement must align with the grade levels served)
• Proven experience working in Special Education, preferably in a Life Skills or FASE setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to modify curriculum and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning space

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction for students in the FASE classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor and track student progress toward academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to address student needs and facilitate skill development
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
• Ensure a positive and supportive environment that promotes growth and success for all learners
