Two distinct roles are available—one Math Resource Teacher and one Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher—each supporting a diverse caseload in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment.

What experience and skills are essential for this position?

• Valid Special Education Certification is mandatory for both positions.
• Math Resource Teacher: Texas Math certification required.
• Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher: Certification in core content required.
• Hands-on experience working with high school-aged students in special education settings.
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation.
• Collaborative spirit for effective co-teaching and communication with staff, students, and families.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing resource math instruction or academic/vocational life skills instruction tailored to IEP goals.
• Designing engaging, individualized lesson plans and learning activities.
• Collecting data and evaluating student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Working closely with general education staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are delivered.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and school-based meetings.

This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity through May 21, 2027. Both positions are located at a vibrant high school setting, offering a supportive team and significant chances for professional growth.
