Special Ed Teacher - Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

This contract positions you in a single school (assignment location to be confirmed, with a focus on elementary level needs) for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll collaborate with a supportive team and foster growth for students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements:

• Current Florida ESE certification
• General Education teaching certification (K-6 or PK-3)
• Self-contained special education classroom experience
• Experience instructing students with various exceptionalities and learning levels
• Readiness to complete fingerprinting and credentialing through the AHCA Clearinghouse; previous prints may be transferable with additional verification
• Availability for a virtual “prescreen” interview to assess candidate fit

Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom of exceptional student education (ESE) learners
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that address unique educational needs
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students at their level
• Assess student progress and adjust strategies for continuous improvement
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with support staff, administrators, and families to create strong learning partnerships

This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers 35 consistent hours each week (7 hours per day, weekdays only). You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and see the progress of your students over the course of the full academic year.
