Special Education Teacher in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

This full-time contract role will be based in the North West region of Jacksonville, FL, with an immediate start and continuing through the end of May 2027. Responsibilities include:

• Leading a self-contained ESE classroom, collaborating with specialists to meet students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Adapting lesson plans and instruction methods to accommodate varying learning levels and exceptionalities
• Building a supportive and inclusive classroom climate for elementary-aged learners
• Engaging with parents, caregivers, and school staff to track progress and advocate for student growth
• Maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines, including timely documentation and reporting

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Florida ESE certification
• General Education certification in K-6 or PK-3
• Documented experience as a teacher in a self-contained special education classroom
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting for FL school districts (including verification or renewal via the AHCA Clearinghouse, if applicable)
• Successful completion of an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen interview
• Strong dedication to equitable education and individualized student support
