Special Education Teacher | Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

Qualifications:

• Active Florida ESE certification
• K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
• Previous experience working in a self-contained classroom setting is a must
• Ability to fulfill all time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and/or JLA badge application
• Successful completion of both an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreening interview

Role and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead teacher in a self-contained ESE classroom, working with students who present a range of learning levels and exceptionalities
• Primarily teach elementary-age students, though possible accommodation for other age group preferences may be considered
• Work on-site at one school location within the North West region of a large, supportive district (exact location to be confirmed)
• Plan, modify, and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of your students
• Monitor student progress, manage IEP goals, and collaborate with educational staff and families

What to Expect:

• Full-time, 35-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, 7-hour days)
• A contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August to late May
• All placements are exclusively on-site; virtual or VOCO options are not available for this role
