Requirements:

• Valid Missouri Special Education teaching credentials
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Flexibility to work in self-contained, inclusion, resource, or co-teaching settings
• Ability to manage K-12 student caseloads
• Proven work ethic and commitment to fostering student success
• Positive mindset and willingness to embrace new challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specially designed instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and families to support students’ academic and social development
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal special education laws
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team-based decisions
• Engage in professional development and commit to ongoing growth as an educator
