Special Education Teacher - Portland, OR

What you’ll bring:

• Active and valid Special Education teaching certification
• At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher (SPED) preferred
• Expertise in elementary-level curriculum and educational adaptations
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture

What you’ll do:

• Deliver instruction and interventions to support students with diverse needs in a resource classroom setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Track student progress and adapt strategies to meet changing needs
• Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP meetings
• Provide guidance and support for student transitions and behavioral goals
• Uphold documentation in compliance with local and state regulations
• Maintain effective and proactive communication with all stakeholders
