Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Oregon license/certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Proven abilities in creating, writing, and implementing accurate IEPs
• Experience working with K-12 caseloads, self-contained or resource classrooms preferred
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills, flexibility, and proactivity
• Committed to upholding ethical practices, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering a positive environment
• Embraces a growth mindset and displays a positive attitude in all professional interactions

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction to students with varying needs in self-contained/resource settings
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and specialists to best support each learner
• Utilize differentiated strategies and accommodations to maximize learning opportunities
• Track and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with all regulations and best practices
• Create a classroom culture that encourages independence, self-advocacy, and growth
