Desired Qualifications:

• Active Oregon Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Ability to support students in self-contained, inclusion, resource, and co-teaching classroom environments
• Comprehensive understanding of Special Education practices and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to fulfill all general responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute individualized educational programs tailored to the diverse needs of K-12 students
• Provide direct instruction and differentiated support in various settings (self-contained, inclusion, resource, co-teaching)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to implement student goals
• Regularly communicate with families and support teams to ensure student progress
• Accurately maintain documentation, assessments, and progress reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Cultivate a classroom culture based on respect, high expectations, and a growth mindset
