Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential support as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role near Prescott Valley, AZ! Two positions are available, and both full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply for these on-site roles, starting January 5th and continuing through the end of the school year, with the possibility of working until late May.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education teaching
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong understanding of SLD, OHI, and Autism eligibility criteria
- Ability to manage and support a diverse caseload of students (grades 4–8)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to assigned students based on IEP goals and individualized needs
- Manage a caseload in one of two settings:
- Resource classroom with 27 students (grades 4–8) with SLD & OHI
- Self-contained classroom with 7 students (grades 4–6) with SLD, OHI, and Autism
- Write IEPs and maintain timely documentation of progress notes
- Support classroom behavior management and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with a dedicated on-site lead teacher and receive additional support via Zoom
