Special Education Teacher | Princeton, New Jersey

Make a difference in the lives of K-3 students as a Special Education Teacher supporting an autism classroom. This rewarding contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

In this position, you’ll play a key part in a dedicated K-3 autism classroom. Your expertise will enable you to adapt instruction and create an inclusive learning atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Qualifications:

• Eligible for K-3 Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skills in differentiated instruction and classroom management
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and collaborating with staff, families, and specialists

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, tailored instruction to meet each student’s unique needs
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and behavioral strategies
• Collaborate with related service providers and classroom aides for student support
• Communicate progress regularly with families and educational teams
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all special education policies
