A center-based middle school program is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained classroom setting. This role is part of a collaborative program with multiple special education teachers and paraprofessionals.

Program & Caseload:

Self-contained classroom

Student Population: Autism and students with similar support needs

Caseload: 6 students

Program Staffing: 3 Special Education Teachers and 5 Paraprofessionals
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals

Implement behavior and academic interventions in a structured classroom environment

Collaborate with fellow SPED teachers and paraprofessionals

Support students with communication, social skills, and daily living skills
-
Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
Requirements:

Active Special Education certification required

Experience working in center-based or self-contained autism programs preferred

Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
