Special Education Long Term Sub Needed in Minneapolis, MN

A center-based middle school program is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained classroom setting. This role is part of a collaborative program with multiple special education teachers and paraprofessionals.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: April 6

• End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)

• Schedule: Full-time

• Setting: In-person, center-based middle school

Program & Caseload:

• Self-contained classroom

• Student Population: Autism and students with similar support needs

• Caseload: 6 students

• Program Staffing: 3 Special Education Teachers and 5 Paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals

• Implement behavior and academic interventions in a structured classroom environment

• Collaborate with fellow SPED teachers and paraprofessionals

• Support students with communication, social skills, and daily living skills

• Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Active Special Education certification required

• Experience working in center-based or self-contained autism programs preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
