Minneapolis Special Education Long Term Sub Needed to Finish School Year

A center-based middle school program is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small, self-contained classroom serving students with autism and related needs. This position is fully in-person and works within a highly supported team environment.

Position Details:

• Dates: April 6 through End of School Year

• Schedule: Full-time

• Setting: Center-based, onsite middle school

Program Information:

• Classroom Model: Self-contained

• Student Population: Students with autism and similar support needs

• Caseload: 6 students

• Team Structure: 3 Special Education Teachers and 5 Paraprofessionals supporting the program

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, structured instruction aligned with IEPs

• Implement behavior supports and data-driven interventions

• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and fellow SPED teachers

• Support student growth in academic, social, and functional skills

• Maintain compliance with special education documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification required

• Experience in center-based or autism-specific programs strongly preferred

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, hands-on environment
