Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Washington State Special Education Certification
  • Master's degree in Education or related field required
  • Experience with life skills curriculum preferred, but new graduates are warmly encouraged to apply
  • Exceptional communication, compassion, and collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to work with diverse student populations in an inclusive environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized life skills instruction to PK-5 students according to IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
  • Create engaging lesson plans and adapt instructional materials to meet students’ unique needs
  • Monitor and document student development and behavior, reporting regularly to administration and families
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom climate
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and professional development
