Soliant is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in Pre-K through 5th grade during the upcoming school year.

This opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about working with young learners and providing individualized instruction and support in an IEP-focused classroom setting.

Assignment Details

Position: Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time
School Year: 2026–2027
Duration: August 10, 2026 - June 8, 2027
Caseload: Pre-K–5th Grade
Primary Student Population: 3–4-year-old students
Setting: IEP classrooms

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students based on individual learning needs and IEP goals.

  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.

  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and developmental growth.

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and educational team members.

  • Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school administrators.

  • Use developmentally appropriate strategies to support young learners, particularly students ages 3–4.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate to the assignment.

  • Experience working with students in Pre-K through elementary settings preferred.

  • Strong understanding of IEP implementation and individualized instruction.

  • Ability to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.

  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to participate in a panel interview.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged students.

  • Experience in an IEP classroom setting.

  • Experience supporting students with developmental or learning needs.

  • Familiarity with early childhood special education practices.

  • Strong classroom management and behavior-support skills.
