Bring your expertise in special education to a dedicated educational setting supporting elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities. This contract role is full-time and onsite for the 2024-2025 academic year, with immediate openings available. Each classroom maintains a manageable size (8-12 students), providing an environment where educators can make a significant impact and deliver individualized support.

As a vital resource for students, you will be collaborating with a dynamic team focused on inclusive growth and learning. Onsite interviews are available Wednesday between 10:00 am–1:00 pm and Thursday from 11:00 am–12:00 pm.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience teaching elementary students, especially those with Autism and developmental disabilities
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Ability to create and implement effective IEPs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
  • Implement IEPs and monitor student progress
  • Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom for students with developmental disabilities
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and report regularly on student achievements and challenges
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school-wide initiatives
