Bring your expertise in special education to a dedicated educational setting supporting elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities. This contract role is full-time and onsite for the 2024-2025 academic year, with immediate openings available. Each classroom maintains a manageable size (8-12 students), providing an environment where educators can make a significant impact and deliver individualized support.
As a vital resource for students, you will be collaborating with a dynamic team focused on inclusive growth and learning. Onsite interviews are available Wednesday between 10:00 am–1:00 pm and Thursday from 11:00 am–12:00 pm.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience teaching elementary students, especially those with Autism and developmental disabilities
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to create and implement effective IEPs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
- Implement IEPs and monitor student progress
- Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom for students with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and report regularly on student achievements and challenges
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school-wide initiatives
