Special Ed Teacher | Providence, Rhode Island

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities. The role is based onsite and involves working in classrooms of 8-12 students throughout the school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about making a difference in the lives of students requiring specialized instructional strategies and individualized support.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with Autism and developmental disabilities
• Creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Managing classrooms of 8-12 elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
• Maintaining documentation of student progress and compliance with educational standards

Preferred qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and with developmental disabilities
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop engaging, adaptive lesson plans for diverse learners
• Commitment to full-time onsite work for the entire school year

This position has three openings available. Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
