Make a difference every day by supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming elementary environment for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, onsite position offers three openings working directly with students diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Class sizes are small—each classroom has 8-12 students—providing the opportunity for meaningful, individualized instruction.
Your experience in Special Education will make a lasting impact as you collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and create supportive, inclusive learning experiences. Interviews are available Wednesday (10:00 am–1:00 pm) and Thursday (11:00 am–12:00 pm).
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and classroom management
- Ability to design and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans for students with diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize a variety of strategies to engage and motivate students
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student goals and achievements
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required
