Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and writing measurable goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Creative, flexible approach to instruction and classroom management
- Familiarity with current instructional technology and adaptive tools
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students’ unique strengths and challenges
- Monitor and record student progress towards academic and behavioral objectives
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
- Maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and parent conferences
- Adhere to school and state guidelines regarding special education services
