Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credentials required
  • Prior experience working with middle or high school students preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and differentiating instruction within a self-contained classroom
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work alongside paraprofessionals and school staff
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to a class of 10 students with varying needs
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans based on individual strengths and goals
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals in the classroom to maintain a positive and effective learning environment
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with IEPs and other documentation requirements
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and well-being
