Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably those with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Familiarity with evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in classroom management and curriculum delivery
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction for a small group of elementary students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IEP goals, adapting materials as needed
- Track and record student progress, making data-driven adjustments to support individual needs
- Work closely with related service providers, classroom aides, and administration
- Communicate regularly with families to discuss student achievements and areas for support
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
