Special Education Teacher - Providence, RI

This dynamic opportunity focuses on delivering social and emotional support to K-2nd graders within a blended classroom environment. You’ll work closely with a small group of students, blending both resource and pull-in/pull-out supports to meet individual learning needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for elementary-level students.
• Experience working with social/emotional caseloads, especially at the PreK-2 level.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills for working with students, staff, and families.
• Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support for elementary students (K-2) in a specialized hybrid classroom.
• Design and adapt differentiated lessons to fit a variety of learning and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to ensure cohesive student support.
• Pull high-need students back into the classroom for more intensive interventions as necessary.
• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Foster positive social and emotional skill development in all students.
