Special Education Teacher in Providence, RI

Two contract opportunities are now available for experienced Special Education Teachers who thrive on fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments. Each position is designed to provide strategic push in/push out support, tailored to student IEPs and unique educational goals.

Key Details:

• Orientation Week: August 24th
• Students Start: August 27th
• Caseload: Approximately 12-17 students, subject to variation
• Two Open Positions:
  • Position 1: Lower School (PreK–2nd), 7:30am–3:00pm
  • Position 2: Middle School (6th–8th), 8:00am–4:00pm

Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Special Education Teaching License (required)
• Proven experience in push in/push out service delivery models
• Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs
• Commitment to fostering a positive and adaptive learning environment
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct special education services in accordance with student IEPs
• Adapt, modify, and plan engaging lessons for diverse learners
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams
