Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Previous experience working with students who have diverse educational needs.
  • Understanding of IEP implementation and adaptation for homebound or alternative settings.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, school staff, and administrators.
  • Strong organizational abilities to document student progress and maintain compliance with special education guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to homebound students per their IEP requirements.
  • Assess each student’s educational progress and adjust strategies as needed to promote growth.
  • Coordinate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and consistency in instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student performance.
