Special Education Teacher - Providence, RI

Position Details:

• Full-time contract from 10/16/26 to 1/15/27
• Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 3:45pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Work with approximately 8 elementary students
• Supported by three dedicated teaching assistants

What You’ll Need:

• Valid Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification
• Experience working with elementary-age children in special education settings
• Strong adaptability and classroom management skills
• Ability to collaborate smoothly with teaching assistants and other educational staff
• Commitment to fostering growth and inclusion for all students

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to elementary students with a range of abilities, modifying curriculum as needed
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate student records and document progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student success
