Step into a rewarding teaching opportunity focusing on making a true impact in the lives of middle school students. This contract position offers the chance to work with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in a dynamic, inclusive setting, supporting diverse learners both in and out of the classroom.

In this role, you'll provide vital academic and multilingual learner (MLL) support by participating in push-in inclusion classes, as well as conducting targeted pull-out sessions. With a daily schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and families to foster a positive learning environment and make a difference where it matters most.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Special Education certification required; ESL endorsement strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting middle school students, especially in inclusive academic settings
  • Strong understanding of push-in and pull-out service models
  • Commitment to academic excellence and the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual students
  • Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with other educators and support staff
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in academic subjects within inclusive classrooms
  • Provide targeted pull-out support for both academic and MLL needs
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations in partnership with team members
  • Track and document student progress, communicating with families and staff
  • Contribute to a welcoming, supportive, and responsive school climate for all learners
