This contract position offers the opportunity to work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade learners, focusing on inclusive practices and individual growth each day from 7:30 am to 2:15 pm. Ideal candidates bring a passion for fostering diverse learning and thrive in collaborative settings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education certification required
  • ESL endorsement or willingness to obtain preferred
  • Experience supporting students in inclusive classroom settings, especially at the middle school level
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with general educators and support staff
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting Multilingual Learners (MLL)
  • Ability to modify and adapt academic instruction based on individual education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide push-in inclusion support for core academic subjects across 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
  • Deliver targeted pull-out instruction for students requiring additional academic or MLL services
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement individualized educational accommodations and modifications
  • Monitor progress toward IEP goals, documenting data and making instructional adjustments as needed
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that values diversity and inclusion
  • Communicate with families, related service providers, and educational teams regarding student needs and successes
