Special Education Teacher - Provo, UT

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current or eligible Special Education teaching certification
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional techniques based on student needs
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining detailed records and documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Provide direct instruction, small-group activities, and one-on-one support as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, special education laws, and policies
