Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (or the ability to obtain)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or closely related field
  • Prior experience working in K-12 special education preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and federal/state regulations
  • Skills in differentiating instruction to meet individual needs
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Compassion, flexibility, and willingness to partner with families and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate diverse learning profiles
  • Assess student progress and document outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
