Special Education Teacher in Pulaski, TN

This full-time contract position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., creating a consistent schedule while engaging with a supportive school environment. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid 144 or 145 Tennessee endorsement in Special Education
• Prior experience in a middle school setting highly valued
• Strong understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to individualized instruction, classroom management, and collaborative team support
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted interventions for students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust strategies
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with legal requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive
• Use creative problem-solving to adapt materials and lessons as needed
