Key qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
  • Demonstrated success supporting high school students in special education settings
  • Strong background and hands-on experience working with students on the autism spectrum
  • Commitment to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and fostering inclusive classroom communities
  • Experience adapting curriculum and developing effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Skilled communicator with families, teachers, and school staff

Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver cross-categorical instruction to high school students with diverse mild-to-moderate disabilities
  • Design and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to IEP goals
  • Create engaging, supportive classroom environments that encourage student growth
  • Collaborate closely with related service providers, general educators, and families
