Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid WA SPED teaching license and ESA certificate, ready for immediate verification.
• At least 5 years of dedicated experience as a Special Education Teacher, with a substantial focus on transition-aged (18-22) students.
• Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing transitions-oriented goals, curriculum, and IEPs.
• Previous school-based experience strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of transition planning, employment skills, independent living instruction, and support for diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction and support transition goals in an onsite classroom for young adults.
• Collaborate with families, support staff, and external partners to ensure smooth transitions from school to adulthood.
• Monitor student progress and adapt approaches based on evolving needs.
• Maintain compliance with all school, state, and federal special education policies.
• Contribute to a positive, structured classroom environment that empowers young adults.
