Special Education Teacher in Quakertown, PA

Two positions are available: one supporting elementary students with autism and another guiding middle schoolers in a learning support setting. This opportunity is conveniently located near Quakertown, PA, and aligns with the academic year from late August through early June.

What you’ll need:

• Current and active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (no emergency or pending permits)
• Previous experience or training in special education, preferably in autistic or learning support roles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to a full-time contract schedule (35 hours per week)

Role responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans that address both academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate student records and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, therapists, and families to ensure student success
• Deliver instruction in either elementary autistic support or middle school learning support, based on assignment
• Encourage a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment

Expect to work within standard school hours, with elementary running 8:15 a.m.–3:45 p.m. and secondary 7:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m., aligning with the needs of each student group throughout the contract term.
