This full-time, contract role is dedicated to providing specialized instruction and resources for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. You'll collaborate closely with students, families, and fellow educators to empower learners and foster an inclusive classroom experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Certification issued by the Arizona Department of Education
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
- Previous experience working in a high school or resource setting is highly valued
- Strong commitment to individualized support, IEP development, and inclusive teaching
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with students, families, and colleagues
- Adaptable and resourceful approach to overcoming learning challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and interventions for high school students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to support student progress and well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, empathy, and accountability
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, team planning, and ongoing professional development
