An educational staffing partner is seeking an experienced Reading Interventionist / Special Education Teacher for a contract position in the South Shore Boston area, just outside Quincy, MA. This role focuses on supporting students with mild to moderate needs during the 2026–2027 academic year.

In this position, you will:

  • Deliver targeted reading interventions and specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate learning needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based literacy strategies, with an emphasis on Orton-Gillingham methodology.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Monitor student progress, adapt instruction based on data, and maintain detailed records of student growth.
  • Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings.

Qualifications sought include:

  • Active Massachusetts Special Education certification (Mild/Moderate).
  • Orton-Gillingham certification is required.
  • Previous experience working within a school environment is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
