Special Education Teacher - Racine, WI

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting a self-contained Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. This contract opportunity begins February 20th and is based near Racine, WI. You’ll work with a close-knit group—currently three students and an aide—helping develop strategies for growth and academic progress. The classroom may increase to six or seven students, offering ample room for professional fulfillment.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Proven background working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and individualized educational programming.
• Proficiency in data-driven approach to student support and progress documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build positive rapport with students, aides, and families.
• Experience managing and adapting to small, dynamic classroom settings.
• Ability to respond proactively and professionally to challenging behaviors.

• Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to the learning and emotional needs of each student.
• Collaborate with classroom aides to maintain a supportive and structured learning environment.
• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adjust strategies as needed.

• Maintain meticulous records, tracking progress and adjusting interventions as required.
