Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting a self-contained Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. This contract opportunity begins February 20th and is based near Racine, WI. You’ll work with a close-knit group—currently three students and an aide—helping develop strategies for growth and academic progress. The classroom may increase to six or seven students, offering ample room for professional fulfillment.

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Proven background working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and individualized educational programming.
- Proficiency in data-driven approach to student support and progress documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build positive rapport with students, aides, and families.
- Experience managing and adapting to small, dynamic classroom settings.
- Ability to respond proactively and professionally to challenging behaviors.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to the learning and emotional needs of each student.
- Collaborate with classroom aides to maintain a supportive and structured learning environment.
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adjust strategies as needed.
- Utilize positive behavioral supports and proven intervention techniques.
- Engage regularly with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintain meticulous records, tracking progress and adjusting interventions as required.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all students are empowered to succeed.
