Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active state teaching license in Special Education
• Certification to teach elementary level, grades K-5
• Experience with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and related documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and classroom environment to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to meet student goals
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Use evidence-based strategies and data-driven decision-making to address academic and behavioral needs
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
• Maintain compliance with all local and state special education regulations
