You'll guide students ages 6-8 in a separate setting classroom, offering individualized attention in a nurturing environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably ages 6-8
  • Ability to implement and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Passion for fostering growth and independence in young learners
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction in all academic and functional areas as outlined in student IEPs
  • Manage a separate setting classroom focused on supporting students with diverse needs
  • Track and report student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive support
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to address social, behavioral, and academic skill development
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in required meetings and conferences
  • Uphold a structured, safe, and consistent classroom routine
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere where every child can thrive
