Special Education Teacher in Rainier, OR

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Rainier, OR, starting in January after the Christmas break. This contract position is designed for an experienced educator to support students in grades 3 through 6 within a resource classroom setting.

Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, social-emotional learning, and study skills to a caseload of approximately 32 students. The role requires planning and delivering individualized educational programs and collaborating with other staff to meet student needs effectively.

• Location: Rainier, Oregon
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
• Work hours: 40 hours per week
• Caseload: Resource classroom with 32 students, grades 3-6
• Subjects: Reading, Writing, Math, Social Emotional Learning, Study Skills
• Contract length: Remainder of the school year starting January

Preferred qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education Endorsement
• Experience working with resource students and managing moderate caseloads
• Strong skills in differentiated instruction and behavior management
• Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with families and staff
