A licensed Adapted Curriculum teacher is needed to support two functional skills classrooms in a contract position near Randleman, NC. This opportunity calls for a passionate educator who excels at adapting curriculum and providing specialized instruction for students requiring significant support.

You’ll split your day between two settings: delivering morning instruction to a class of six elementary students and focusing your afternoon on seven high school students. Unlicensed classroom teachers will continue to facilitate, allowing you to concentrate on direct instruction, customized lesson planning, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This hands-on role also involves collaborating closely with classroom staff and, ideally, managing the caseload paperwork for the students you support.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Adapted Curriculum certification required
  • Experience teaching students with functional skills needs or significant support needs highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Adept at differentiating instruction to meet a variety of abilities
  • Willingness and capability to handle caseload management and related paperwork
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work full-time, 36-40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, specialized instruction in both elementary and high school classrooms
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
