Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification meeting state requirements
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs for students in K-8 settings
- Passion for inclusive education and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet individualized student needs
- Proficiency in data collection and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person special education services for assigned caseloads in either a middle school or elementary school setting
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages participation and growth for all students
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instruction as necessary
- Engage regularly with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and promote continuity between home and school
- Maintain compliance with state and district requirements
