Special Education Teacher in Redwood City, CA

In this position, you will work full-time (7.5 hours per day) with a maximum caseload of 28 students. You'll join a committed staff dedicated to exceptional student outcomes and progressive teaching practices. The role is available to start as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in K-5 settings
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and resource room teaching
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education staff and support inclusive practices
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students in the Resource Learning Center across K-5th grades
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure effective support for each student
• Foster a positive and productive learning environment that supports student growth
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional growth
