This contract position plays a vital role working with preschool-aged students in a developmental delay (DD) PreK classroom, fostering growth and early learning. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, offering consistency and the chance to see real progress in your students.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching License with Early Childhood endorsements
  • Experience working with PreK and/or early childhood special education populations
  • Solid understanding of developmental delays and best practice interventions
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to onsite-only engagement—remote work is not available for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to 3-year-old students in a DD PreK setting
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom climate to encourage student engagement
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related service personnel
  • Monitor student progress, making data-driven adjustments in methods and supports
  • Maintain all documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
