Special Education Teacher in Rembert, SC

Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a PreK Developmental Delay (DD) classroom. You will provide vital guidance and personalized instruction for three-year-old students, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to inspire and mentor students in an engaging, supportive environment through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina Special Education teaching license with Early Childhood endorsements
• Experience working with early childhood special education, particularly developmental delays
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with young learners
• Passion for fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning atmosphere
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all regulatory guidelines

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to PreK students with developmental delays
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child’s unique needs and goals
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to caregivers and team members
• Collaborate closely with speech, occupational, and physical therapists, as well as general education colleagues
• Create a safe, stimulating classroom with hands-on materials and adaptive resources
• Foster positive relationships that promote confidence and engagement within the classroom community

You’ll work onsite in a supportive educational environment for 37.5 hours per week, building foundational skills for students who are just beginning their academic journey.
