Special Education Teacher in Remer, MN

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials (or eligibility) for Minnesota
• Experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs, particularly in middle school settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Flexibility and creativity to adapt instructional strategies for individual student success
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and administration

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering tailored instruction and interventions to students in grades 6–8 based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Developing lesson plans that address each student's academic and social-emotional goals
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate, organized records and documentation
• Engaging regularly with families and guardians, providing updates and support
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Assisting with classroom management and creating a structured, engaging learning atmosphere
