Special Education Teacher - Reserve, LA

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher supporting elementary students in an onsite, full-time contract role. This opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027 in a collaborative and welcoming elementary school environment. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload, delivering personalized instruction and interventions that truly matter in students’ lives. The schedule consists of 35 hours per week, providing the chance to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff across the academic year.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate required
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a resource or elementary setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and academic interventions
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction within the resource setting, adapting lessons to meet student needs and learning goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with related service providers and families
• Collect and analyze student data to adjust instructional strategies and document student progress
• Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required
