Special Education Teacher - Reserve, LA

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Educator Certificate is required (SPED Educator Certificate preferred; candidates with Elementary 1-5 Certificate will be considered)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Commitment to accommodating diverse learning needs and IEP implementation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction within a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and document IEPs for students in close partnership with families, related service providers, and admin staff
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learning styles and abilities
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured environment conducive to student growth and safety
• Communicate regularly with faculty and parents to ensure continuity of care and instruction
