Responsibilities include serving as a self-contained Special Education Teacher at an elementary school—supporting students, developing creative learning plans, and collaborating with educational teams for student success.

Qualifications:

• Active LA Educator Certificate required (SPED Educator Certificate preferred; will consider Elementary 1-5 Certificate)
• Experience working within special education settings strongly preferred
• Ability to work full-time, onsite, 35 hours per week
• Strong communication and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administration, and families
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
