You will be part of a collaborative special education team, providing instruction and assistance to middle schoolers in a variety of settings—including resource rooms, small group tutoring, and inclusive classrooms. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering students with diverse abilities.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Valid, active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in resource, small group, and inclusive educational models.
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities.
  • Skillful in collaborating with a diverse group of staff and students.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide specialized instruction and adapt curriculum to meet students’ unique needs.
  • Use data-driven approaches to monitor and document progress.
  • Coordinate and consult with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and goals.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of special education best practices.
